1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CareerM8 ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the App.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the App. We reserve the right to update and change these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

CareerM8 is an AI-powered career coaching platform that provides:

• Interview practice with AI-powered feedback
• Video recording and analysis for presentation skills
• Script refinement and teleprompter features
• Job application tracking and management
• Curated career resources and learning materials
• Real-time coaching and personalized recommendations

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Requirements

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Upload or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our consent
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Share your account credentials with others

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or share through the App ("User Content"), including video recordings, scripts, and practice session data. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this content to provide our services.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to use and share the content
• The content does not violate the rights of any third party
• The content complies with all applicable laws

5.3 Content Removal

You can delete your User Content at any time through the App. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate.

6. AI-Generated Content and Feedback

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide coaching, feedback, and suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only
• AI feedback may not always be accurate or suitable for your specific situation
• AI suggestions should not be considered professional career advice
• We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using AI features
• You are responsible for evaluating and deciding whether to follow AI recommendations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by CareerM8 and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with or contain links to third-party services (e.g., job boards, learning platforms). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not guarantee that using the App will result in job offers, interviews, or career advancement. Career outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAREERM8 AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CareerM8 and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CareerM8 operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CareerM8 regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
